I have a friend who works for a neighboring school district. Her 403b choices are:
AIM
American Fidelity
American Funds
Annuity Premium Reserve
Great American
Lincoln National
Met Life
Are any of them a good choice or would she be better off investing her money into an IRA through someone like Vanguard? Any she should definitely stay away from?

From the look of it they will all have high fees. She should first ask to see the prospectuses and ask about the fees charged. I personally would use an IRA or Roth IRA with Vanguard depending on her tax situation. Her eligibility for the IRA may be limited by her income.
